My Project
The students I have in my classroom have lost out on opportunities in early interventions due to Covid-19 limitations. They are an amazing group of kids who are so curious about how school works.
Skills we are targeting right now in class are fine motor, engaging in circle time activities, and learning about coping strategies when they're experiencing big feelings.
With the items on the list, we will be able to create sensory bottles to keep in our sensory center and calm corner. The students love items like that and gravitate toward them when they are upset or need something to help calm down. We will be able to create fun activities for morning work using the toys and manipulatives. This will help them as we move into using writing utensils throughout the school year after strengthening their eye/hand coordination. They still have a very difficult time attending to lessons during circle time. With some of the music items we will be able to plan fun engaging activities for them to join in on while learning to attend to lessons.
