This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These much needed supplies will allow more students to participate in our music program. New students are still arriving at our school and we were not budgeted for the amount that have enrolled at our school. Helping us purchase these supplies ensures that every student will be able to fully participate in their music program for free. Mather is a neighborhood school- this means we accept everyone's attendance boundaries. Our students represent the racially, linguistically, and socio-economically diverse neighborhood that the school resides in. Supplying these mouthpieces and reeds at no cost to these students takes us a step toward creating a more accessible, just, and equitable school.
