This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Technology use is an every day experience for even the youngest students. Children are expected to manipulate a screen with just the use of their finger. This poses a problem for most students but especially those with dexterity problems.
Students are expected to draw lines or create a graph with just their finger and it becomes very frustrating for them.
I often connect my wired mouse to their computer so they can solve the problem but I cannot accommodate all students in a timely manner.
The use of a wireless mouse would be significant for my students. It would give them the flexibility and freedom to complete tasks independently and with confidence. I want to give my students the ability to show the successful completion of a math problem. A wireless mouse would give them that opportunity and the satisfaction of a job well done.
