This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

It's a pleasure for me to teach computer class in the exact classroom that I took the class in more than 30 years ago! I keep the computer lab very clean and organized. I believe that a great environment is part of the experience of my class.

Many of our students have difficult home lives.

Since my class focuses on important career skills, I hope that students will see that there are many potential jobs that involve technology. I hope that taking my class will expose students to skills that could lift their career choices and steer them towards potentially higher paying skill jobs in the technology field.

My Project

As the computer teacher, my belief is that students should be hands on with the computers the entire time they are in my class. I teach the students about good posture while on the computer. Often I see students with a line on their wrist because their arm has been resting over the edge of the desk. These mouse pads have a nice gel filled portion that will increase the comfort level for my students.

These new mouse pads will have a double impact on the experience of my students.

1: They will make the room look nicer because the mouse pads we currently have are terrible. and 2: The mouse pads will increase the comfort for my students since they have the gel filled pillow that will protect their wrists while they work on the computer in my class.
