My Students
My students are the most insightful, inquisitive, thoughtful, witty teenagers you'll ever meet! I love my students at my high school. They come from many different walks of life and what I love about our school and our community is the unity we establish from the very beginning.
My students are brave.
Most of my students opted for remote learning and are dealing with juggling school work, at-home responsibilities, and, for most, working jobs that put them at risk for COVID-19. Life during this pandemic has pushed many of them to the edge but thankfully these kids, they have GRIT.
My Project
With virtual learning becoming a reality for most of American students, my goal is to become not only an effective teacher but, an efficient teacher. While I can now collect data and see my students while working along with them via a video-platform, thanks to the beautiful monitor provided in my last project, I seek to continue maximizing my productivity level with students through the use of a keyboard and mouse. A wireless mouse and keyboard allows for usage of my laptop as a dual screen so that I don't have to go back and forth using the laptop for its keyboard and mouse. I will be able to use a wireless mouse and keyboard not only to maximize efficiency but also minimize sounds for students sensitive to distractions that result from the the way in which the keyboard and microphone are situated on a laptop.
