Mountain Bike Team Trail Building

Help me give my students trail building tools for our mountain bike team.

My Students

We have a phenomenal group of students at our school. We are located in one of the poorest counties in the state of Wisconsin. Many of our students are on the free/reduced lunch program and rely on the school to help meet some basic needs.

Our students are known for being kind, honest, and helpful.

We have a give/take/borrow closet for students in need of clothing that is frequently replenished by other students in the school who have extra clothing to spare. They are a community of students in the truest sense of the word.

My Project

We have a newly formed Mountain Bike Team at our school. One of the pillars of our team and our national league is to be stewards of the trails. This involves teaching our athletes to build and maintain trails that they ride.

Help get our mountain bikers the tools they need to design and maintain trails.

Trail building in itself is a great physical activity. It also helps them take ownership for the trails they ride on, increasing their responsibility and their value to the community at large. Furthermore, it is a skill they can take with them for a lifetime.
