My Students

My students are an amazing group of kids. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a kindergarten through eighth grade school located in rural California. It serves 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.

Our school has a strong academic and athletic culture.

I want to maintain our strength in these areas by continuing to provide materials to enrich my students' experiences.

My Project

I am requesting posters with motivation quotes, bulletin board paper, and display materials. All of these items will be used to motivate students and create a calm and inviting classroom environment.

The motivational words and quotes will be used with our new social-emotional curriculum.

During our daily classroom meeting, we will talk about the different positive words. The words and quotes will be used as a springboard for our writing. Students will talk about feelings and struggles and use the words to help them have solutions for their frustrations.

The bulletin board paper and accents will be used to display student work. The calendar will be used at our daily meeting.

In addition, all the itmes requested follow the theme of the great outdoors and we will use them in conjunction with our new outdoor classroom/STEM room.
