This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fourth grade students are very loving, caring, and curious. They love being engaged in the classroom and truly appreciate all things donated to the classroom. In addition, these curious fourth graders love learning! My students come from a very low socioeconomic backgrounds and do not have the access to technology.

Our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch.

We have the highest rate of ELL (English language learners) in the state and a high number of special education students.

My Project

Every school year I go through more pencils and stickers than I can count. Every week the students get a new pencil that they need to be responsible for. The students look forward to these pencils every Monday and they help add some excitement to the beginning of the week. In addition, the students get stickers for their work, achievement, and homework charts. Since I am constantly giving out stickers, it is important there is a variety of stickers so students do not get bored and uninterested in the academic portion. The students love all the different stickers and pencils they can work towards!
