Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This fall, I will be welcoming a brand-new group of first-grade students in the Bronx. Many of my students come from families who face financial challenges, and most live in single-parent households. Every child in my class qualifies for free school meals, which shows the level of need in our community.
Young learners thrive when they are encouraged and motivated.
By providing exciting prizes, I can celebrate their hard work and accomplishments while giving them an incentive to always try their best. These rewards will be used with behavior punch cards and positive reinforcement systems to support both academic and social growth.
Some of the motivating and engaging prizes my students will enjoy include:
