This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am so excited to share this project with you because it brings both joy and motivation into our classroom! I’m requesting a treasure chest and a variety of treasure chest items—small toys, trinkets, sensory tools, stickers, and other student-friendly rewards—that will be used to create a classroom reward system that encourages positive behavior, hard work, and personal growth.

Our classroom is full of bright, curious, and energetic students who thrive on encouragement and recognition.

A treasure chest gives them something to look forward to—a tangible way to celebrate their achievements, whether that’s completing assignments, showing kindness, staying focused, or demonstrating resilience when things get tough.

**Here’s how it works:** Students earn chances to visit the treasure chest through good choices, teamwork, effort, and academic success. It helps create a classroom culture where positive behavior is recognized and celebrated. The items inside aren’t just prizes—they’re small symbols of big efforts.

**How it helps students:**

Encourages Responsibility & Self-Motivation: Students work hard to earn rewards, which promotes independence and accountability.

Improves Behavior & Focus: With clear, consistent goals and exciting incentives, students are more engaged and better able to manage their behavior.

Builds Confidence & Joy: Celebrating achievements boosts students’ self-esteem and brings smiles to their faces—something every child deserves during the school day.

Supports Social-Emotional Growth: Students learn about goal setting, delayed gratification, and the value of their efforts—all while having fun.
