This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a Title One school. A very high percentage the students live in poverty. They come to school with anxiety, hunger, and distractions. In school, however, they flourish. The pandemic has had a big impact on our students. This school year we finally welcomed back our students who were learning virtually. Being out of the school environment has impacted focus and attention, as well as academics. I would like to purchase motivational awards to motivate and encourage students work hard and do their best. We have a second grade store where students can spend their hard earned “Bobcat Bucks”. I’d like to fill that store with the thing kids live…stickers, slime, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and stuffed animals, just to name a few. Thank you for considering my project!

My Project

We all love rewards for our hard work. Children are no different! The second grade team at my school sets up a monthly "store" for students to spend their hard earned "Bobcat Bucks". Students earn this money by working hard and making good choices. We would love to motivate students by having an awesome store with really enticing, merchandise. Your donation will help us stock that store. When they have a look at all the items on this list, they will surely be motivated to show pride and effort in all that they do
