This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As we near the end of the school year, students work on preparing for their state testing. For many, this can cause some anxiety and stress. A lot of them may feel unmotivated because they start getting overwhelmed with all the preparation and reviewing of previously learned material.
My students deserve to be rewarded for their hard work and dedication towards their academic success.
I continue to motivate students by rewarding them on a daily basis for their efforts and accomplishments. I do this by selecting items that students enjoy having. For example, erasable pens will be used during Mathematics to enhance their learning. This will give them a different approach in annotating word problems and making sense of them, especially in more complex problems.
This project will help me give students what they enjoy and encourage them to come to school everyday and not miss out on important items. In addition, it will allow me to give students the tools they need to review and prepare in a fun classroom environment.
