This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students come from various economic backgrounds, with over seventy-seven percent of our students receiving free lunch. Our students speak a multitude of languages. As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are also diverse in their academics.

My students are enthusiastic, eager groups of third-grade students from very diverse and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Our school is a Title I-funded school. My students are excited about learning and want to do well. Our class includes gifted learners, English language learners, and students with academic disabilities.

My Project

Providing students with highly motivational and fun math challenges creates an exciting learning experience for children. Teaching financial literacy helps students understand how to save and grow their money. My students love games, puzzles, and creative problem-solving techniques that help them process their math concepts.

Giving students real-life situations and creating a learning atmosphere of discovery helps them achieve their standards without the boring algorithm worksheets.

Watching students explore and use their math skills in solving puzzles is very helpful. I need dry erase markers, sheets, and erasers as well as helpful strategies and logical puzzles. These items will help achieve a motivational and yet effective curriculum for my students.
