Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from various social economic backgrounds. They range from low income families to homes where parents are trying their best to raise their children in a neighborhood that has gang related problems daily. There are students that don't have either parent and are either with a foster family or with a relative. Either way, they come to class eager to learn, which is why I wouldn't want anything more but to enhance their excitement for education through games and materials.

My Project

Classroom materials is always an essential tool in classrooms. Having highlighters are a great tool to help my students focus on key elements. The plastic envelopes will help students stay organized with the various materials they use throughout the day. The gallon Zip loc bags are perfect to help take care of books and magazines that students will use to transport materials from school to home. The microphone will help my shy learners be able to make presentations in front of their peers.

TIME for Kids is a perfect motivator for students to teach current events in an authentic way.

I am always finding ways to encourage my students to read various forms of literature. Time for Kids magazine has age appropriate stories that students get excited about while learning about the world around them.

Time for Kids magazine and the classroom materials will motivate them to learn and stay focused in their learning. My students are eager learners and these will only enhance their education.
