My students are fun loving, eager to learn children with special needs ranging in grades from kindergarten through first grade. They attend a K-1 self-contained Special Ed class in a public school in Queens.

My Project
My students are motivated by technology and interactive games to learn new and unfamiliar concepts in math and reading. Students with learning disabilities need hands on, visual learning experiences as they generalize new and often difficult skills in reading, science, social studies and math.
These tablets will provide a tactual and visual learning experience as students use them to practice math skills with engaging math apps, research topics such as animals, plants and famous people as we begin non-fiction topics in reading, science and social studies.
A set of classroom tablets will allow these busy little scholars a motivating and a hi-tech learning experience in our self contained classroom.
