Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a first-grade teacher of English Language Learners. They all come from different cultural and educational backgrounds. They all bring into the classroom their rich, cultural experiences.
In my Bilingual class, I have to teach and ensure that all my students learn all subjects like reading, writing, math and science.
My students are at-risk and come from high poverty. Therefore, due to their limitations, my students are in need of additional resources in order to be able to learn and succeed.
My Project
I ask you to please help me motivate my students to learn by giving them fabulous and exciting prizes. All students love to learn. However, when they receive prizes in return it greatly motivates them to want to learn more.
When children receive prizes for their efforts it improves their learning as well as their behavior.
Therefore, I ask for your support in order to obtain these prizes that will greatly benefit all of my students. In class I used a point collection reward system. This system gives my students daily the opportunity to earn points for their success in their learning and for their positive behavior.
