This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My bilingual students are eager to learn every day and excited to work in collaborative groups. They find joy in the little things and appreciate living in a country where children are valued and encouraged.

Not only are they excited to learn from me, their teacher, but they eagerly help one other reach new heights when working with their collaborative groups.

Each day, they do their best to match my high expectations for them. They inspire me with their drive and dedication at such a young age.

My Project

Please help me give my student motivational materials that will help keep them engaged until the end of the school year. Many of my students come from low-income homes and little prizes can go a long way into motivating them to stay focused on their reading dyslexia lessons. I have a system where when students come for 10 sessions and are participating and trying their best they can get a prize from my prize box. In addition, daily I try to give them candy or a pencil so that they will be excited about coming to dyslexia. These prizes go a long way.
