My Students

My students are an amazing group of kids. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a Kindergarten through Eighth grade school located in rural California. It serves 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.

Our school has a strong academic and athletic culture.

I want to maintain our strength in these areas by continuing to provide materials to enrich my students' experiences.

My Project

I am requesting supplies such as tiles, coaster frames and grout to make coasters and other mosaic art pieces. I am also requesting flat stones and Sharpies.

For the next school year I plan on doing a few art projects that will used as gifts for my students' moms.

We will use the tiles and coaster frames to make coasters. The flat stones and Sharpies will be used to make magnets for Mother's Day.

In this project students will learn how to make art projects using a different medium. They will be taught how to use color theory to make visually pleasing compositions.
