Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is located in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood. The students must be in a lower income bracket to qualify for pre-k. Many of their parents are either from Hispanic countries or are first generation Americans. It is in the classroom that my four and five year olds first develop their feelings about school, learning how it relates to them. They come in eager and ready to learn about the world around them. They especially love learning through technology and play.

My Project

The materials for this project will allow me to meet many of the individual learning styles and needs of my students.

The time spent using the learning tubs will help my students practice various academic skills in active and creative ways.

Children learn best when they are actively involved in their own learning. The Pop and Match Games allows the children to practice phonemic skills. Launch and Learn Games build vocabulary and language objectives such as rhyming, and beginning sounds.

The Spin and Count Games have students practicing counting the numerals one to twenty through child friendly, hands-on themes and activities.
