My students need a new classroom rug for morning meeting. Morning meeting is such an incredible way to start out each and every day. We look forward to coming together as a group.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 2nd grade students are an amazing group of children from a very diverse inner-city school in Lowell, MA. They love learning. They love coming to school each day and I love being able to teach them. Many of my students face incredible challenges each and every day yet they come to school with an open heart and an open mind. It is an honor to be able to do this job each and every day, and I just want to provide my students with as many opportunities as I can because they don't often get that outside of school. Our classroom is our home, our community and our family. Thank you Donors Choose for giving me this chance. I love my job and I am blessed to have donors like you.
My Project
Having a new rug in our classroom will be the perfect spot to come in and come together for a morning meeting each day. Morning meeting allows us to have a fresh start. Whether we had a tough day the day before or are facing some challenges at home. Morning Meeting in a cozy new spot will be an inviting space to come together to have great dialogue about the positives in our lives and set some goals to crush for the day ahead. We currently have Morning Meeting at our desks because our old rug had some water damage and mold so we got rid of it. When setting up a classroom you can easily spend hundreds of dollars a summer to get it up and running so I came to Donor's Choose to seek out a new rug for our beautiful classroom. It is our home away from home afterall.
