Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students who receive speech and language therapy need to develop language skills describing pictures, events, retelling stories, engaging in conversations, learning new vocabulary, etc.
They are at high risk of having difficulties learning to read and write and these are essential skills to achieve academic success.
Having access to a varied printed material with toner and gift card to TPT, I will provide them much more stories, informative texts and pictures that can be used to expose them to guided group conversations and writing assignments. These activities and the prompts that they are provided during therapy is what will help them to improve their receptive and expressive language skills for oral communication as well as their ability to decode (read) and spell words to improve their reading and writing.
