My Project
When I was a kid, ADHD wasn’t a diagnosis of a medical condition. It meant that you couldn’t sit still and you were a spaz. Thankfully, research has advanced and ADHD is now recognized as a condition that some (many) people have. Knowing what I know as an ADHD in the 90s survivor, I know how difficult it can be to focus on learning when you also have the wiggles.
I’ve tried many different types of flexible seats before, and some of them are not as safe, comfortable, or durable enough to last more than a few years.
These stools are an exception. They have lasted in my friends’ classrooms, and I’ve used and loved them! I want one for myself, but I’m not the priority here, my kids are! I currently have some of these stools in my classroom, but I am looking for more! I’m hoping to eventually have a class set so that students can have the option of using the seating that works best for them, especially being able to go back and forth between the options during the day.
