This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are a fantastic group of kids. They are creative and musical and love playing instruments! We began our ukulele program last year with help from another DonorChoose project, however, our classes are slightly bigger this year so we need a few more instruments. Playing ukulele has been a great learning experience and a lot of fun. My students have grown as people and musicians and are more prepared for middle school ensembles! I hope to be able to continue and grow our ukulele program!
We need three more instruments to have a class set of ukuleles.
Three more instruments will mean that no one will have to share an instrument with another student during class. All students will get maximum playing time.
