My Students
I have the best first-grade class ever! I have 16 students that are definitely going to be world changers! I have 8 spunky boys and 8 lively girls in my class this year. These six and seven years olds come in each day with smiles, moods, and stories they can't wait to share!
Our first-grade class is family!
Although the students come from different backgrounds, different home situations, and different educational needs, we always find the time to build one another up. These sweet children are learning about love and kindness each day. They have big hearts and curious minds. They love solving challenges, helping struggling friends, and learning new things!
My Project
I love that we don't have desks anymore, because it allows students to collaborate with one another and have better conversations about learning. However, it makes organizing student materials very difficult. Right now, we use cubbies to hold the students' materials; however, it takes a lot of class time transitioning to and from the cubbies throughout the day getting materials.
Having seat sacks at the students' seats will allow more time for my students to be involved in their learning experiences.
Students will be able to hold folders with incomplete work and books to read in this seat sack, which will help tremendously in our school day.
