My Students
My students are an eager group of learners. They recognize that the most important tool for a successful future is knowledge. As such, they work hard every day to reach the goals that not only I have set, but those that they have established for themselves.
As members of the Title I community, over 95% opt to partake in receiving free breakfast and lunch.
A selected number also receives help through the weekly bag pack buddy system which provides weekend support for a meal.
Given the context, it is profoundly enlightening that these students continue to possess an abundance of enthusiasm for participation in school related activities. Therefore the onus is on me, their teacher, to provide them with exciting, thought provoking and goal directed learning projects. As such, any help to acquire materials in that vein would be sincerely appreciated.
My Project
With the current emphasis on a more technological world, I would like to have my students capitalize on all opportunities that will help them be technologically ready. These tablets from Amazon Business will help us achieve this goal. Every week, students are afforded the opportunity to interact with technology from the limited resources available at the school. With these tablets, they will have greater access.
As the students engage in exploring various applications on these tablets, they will definitely be more motivated thus resulting in increased mastery of concepts taught.
Each time we use technology during instruction, my students get a burst of excitement. Your donation towards this project will certainly allow for more of this experience.
Furthermore, the devices will also allow for more engagement in programs that are tailored to their needs. With this differentiated instruction, students will receive support in areas they are most deficient and with the ability to move at their own pace, more learning will take place.
My students enjoy blended learning where they explore videos, websites and documents as a precursor to the instruction that I provide. The fact that they learn on their own, then use the acquired knowledge to make contributions to classroom discussions, is both exciting and beneficial to them. When you participate in financing these tablets, you are helping to create a more flipped learning experience.
Of significant importance is the fact that these tablets will also allow my students to develop their interest as they explore. With these tablets, students will get more opportunities to search the internet to learn about things that interest them. For example, one of my students love animals and every opportunity he gets to learn about them makes him happy. Consider how many more opportunities he can now have because of your donation.
