My students are in a full time ICT second grade classroom. Many of my students come from low-income families. Several are English language learners. There are a few that come from single-parent (or single-grandparent) households.
All of my students are unique individuals who are always eager to learn and be engaged in exciting activities.
My diverse 2nd graders come from a variety of backgrounds and have different needs and wants.
All of my students are eager to learn with open minds, ready to be filled with knowledge.
Our class has become their second family. They are very energetic and enjoy working with each other, love projects, and strive to do their best
All in all, they are a group of awesome kids!
My Project
Unfortunately our students only receive computers one time a week. It is important for children to learn how to find information on the web when completing a research project. More student center work can be completed when children have access to their own computer in the classroom. It is also important for students to work on their typing skills and publish their writing that they have all worked so hard on! Having a MacBook in our classroom will give all children the chance to type up their writing or brush up on other skills. As we are finishing the writing process, so many children are eager to type their writing and are unable to do. This is simply because we have no computers in the classroom. This would definitely be great to have so children can have the opportunity to incorporate technology into the classroom.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
