This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the best! I wouldn't ask for anything different. They are amazing! My students are energetic, loving, and kind! When I enter the classroom, my students are ready and eager to learn. They are technologically savvy and quick thinkers! My students are respectful, caring and helpful to anyone who enters their classroom. They are my sponges ready to soak up any information that they can. I work in a disadvantaged community in the South Bronx. Although their community is disadvantaged, I strive to change that when they enter my classroom. I like make sure they have everything they need to be educated like the schools in more affluent neighborhoods.

My Project
Technology is a necessity in my classroom. It allows me to have students research information necessary to write reports or practice their literacy and math skills on IReady. We use to have 12, but right now I have eleven Chromebooks in my classroom. Four of the Chromebooks were funded by a donor from DonorsChoose. Seven of these Chromebooks, I purchased myself. One of our Chromebooks is missing. Being that we are down one Chromebook, it needs to be replaced to ensure that half of the students in the class will have access to a Chromebooks at the same time. Receiving this Chromebook in the classroom will replace the technology that is missing. It will allow access to the technology my students need to be successful in today’s technology driven society.
