My students are in need of sensory tools to help them focus. Hand squeezers and modeling putty are small but effective ways for students to maintain engagement in lessons while relieving stress, exerting energy, and redirecting focus. Noise cancelling headphones are important for students to maintain attention during independent work time.
Alternate seating options provide choices for students to engage in their learning in ways that make the most sense for them.
From wobble stools to options to sit on the floor, this will improve participation and empower students to explore the situations that they they learn best in.
These options will make my classroom a more inclusive place where students are decision-makers in their learning. I'm so excited to teach my students how these tools can help them learn better!
