I have the most spunky, creative students this side of the Mississippi, and there is never a dull moment in my classroom. Three of the courses I teach are composition classes, which are writing intensive. My students joke that after completing one of my writing courses, they have the stamina to each write their own novel.
I have high expectations, but my students always exceed them (and we have a lot of fun too).
Their writing makes me laugh, cry, think, and question. I would not trade this group of writers for anything.
My Project
We are requesting Puffs facial tissues and hand sanitizer to keep the classroom clean. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I frequently see high school students wipe their noses on their sleeves and cough into their hands. Once cold and flu season starts, the germs in our classroom spread quicker than the latest hashtag on social media.
Something simple, like having soft facial tissues and hand sanitizer available, will help to prevent the spread of germs and keep students in school.
I didn't have to teach long before I noticed how quickly germs spread in my high school classroom. They share desks, pencils, and devices. Because they frequently work in small, intimate groups, if one student gets sick, they all get sick.
These supplies for a clean and healthy classroom will help students stay in class and be focused on the day's lesson.
