I teach second grade general education with 37 children. I switch classes in the middle of the day and have a second set of children.
My second group must bring their supplies, books and materials from their homeroom to our class. There is no space in the desk they sit in since it is already full of my homeroom's materials. In the past the children put all their stuff in a pile on the floor. However, it becomes a big mess. The children loose their things and cannot find what they need. It is a huge distraction in the classroom. I feel like they spend more time looking for things than learning.
My goal is to make these children more organized with their belonging. This project will allow my student to keep all their belongings in their seat pockets. They will have everything they need and be able to find things in a timely manner.
You will make it possible for my children to spend more quality time learning instead of spending a large amount of time finding their supplies, books and materials.
