My students need an iPad in order to have a break area. Our students including autistic and ADHD students benefit from breaks in between rigorous curriculum.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is an environment of diverse learners. The students are smart, passionate, active learners and also have many obstacles to overcome. They are challenged everyday and still remain successful with the tools that they have. ADHD and autistic students are becoming more integrated into the classroom and I am proud to say many are my students.
My classroom includes two teachers and a para.
Each of these adults wants all students to reach success. They love to move, love colors and love partnering up with one another during activities. They are kind and helpful towards one another.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in all students lives in my classroom. Students are expected to complete rigorous curriculum on a continuous basis each day and every day.
With an iPad, I can designate a break area where students can utilize apps and self stimulation activities.
They can use this when they feel tired, anxiety or just need a quick mental break before continuing on with their work such as after writing an essay for 30 minutes.
This material will give all students the opportunity to recharge before moving on to the next task or give them the necessary break to get back to the current expected assignment. With this material, I will not have to take learning tools away from other students. Instead the classroom will always have this resource available to the students
