My Students

Reading is fundamental and having the right books at the right level is very important. My students need more books, higher leveled books as they move quickly from level A books to level C-D books.

My 22 eager readers are fun-loving Kindergarteners in a Title I public school in California.

They aspire to be excellent readers and need more books that will help them move along levels. I had recently increased my classroom library with level A-B books, and now I find that I now need to increase my library with more level C-D books. The students have moved so quickly that I didn't realize that I didn't have enough higher level books for my students.

My Project

The books that I am requesting are leveled books from C-D. These books will be used by the students who have moved from levels A-B. The students have moved from levels A-B so quickly that I didn't have enough level C-D books for the students to use. The students would ask me if I had more C or D books, or they would tell me that "there aren't any books for me to read." These books would allow the students to read independently at their independent level as they move up levels in reading.

Please help support my students' reading by giving them the books they need to increase their reading skills.

The students are eager to read, and I'm so proud of them as they continue to practice reading. If we give these students an inch, they will go the mile.
