Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a school of students from Pre-k to 5th grade.

My amazing students come from many countries from all over the world.

Many of the parents in our school do not speak English, and these children are first-generation Americans. Despite obstacles, our students show up each day ready to learn and energetic. We have a wonderful and respectful classroom environment. There are many diverse learners in the classroom. These students are amazing and have persevered through this difficult time.

My Project

Our class has been working together so well and making great strides! We want to keep up the momentum and work even harder!

We need a second easel in our inclusion classroom so the teachers can work in two groups, for each lesson, thus maximizing the number of children we can reach each lesson!

This type of teaching is called parallel teaching and it has been proven very effective in inclusion classrooms. With smaller groups, teachers can work with two groups, thus zoning into where individual students need help and immediately attacking their struggles!
