My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. I love learning from them daily!

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the diverse classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy! Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. Each story is an adventure and I'm thankful to share great stories with them. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. My goal with these books is that my students will see themselves represented in my library. By including more books written by authors of color, I hope to make my library more relevant and relatable to my students. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.
