My Students

My students are middle schoolers at a K-8 school. They are creative, hardworking, and come from all walks of life. They love learning and their enthusiasm for education is inspiring to see.

Since my students are becoming teenagers, it is really exciting to see how they embrace their individuality and how they are fearless in the face of adversity.

They want to stand up for what they believe in. They want to have their voices heard against racism, sexism, and prejudice. They want to make a difference. Please help them recognize the power they have to lead this next generation!

My Project

This year is definitely going to look different. We are going to need one to one materials that we previously could have shared without a problem.

Please help support my students with their own copy of our first classroom novel, Maroo of the Winter Caves.

With their own book, they will be able to follow along as I read aloud as well as go back and use reading strategies. It will also allow for students who need to go at a different pace to look at their book more. It will be helpful as well as they learn to answer reading comprehension type questions and cite evidence.
