My students are a wonderful group of bright, hard-working and inquisitive kids who truly enjoy using technology and online resources on a daily basis in our classroom. Students are realizing that more and more careers of the future are going to require them to be savvy with technology and they ask to use the chromebooks all the time. However, I do not have a class set of them in my classroom.
Therefore, my students want access to chromebooks on a daily basis to help them to be able to research information as needed, learn concepts via interactive online tools, in addition to ceating and completing alternative assessments.
My Project
Our school does not have enough Chromebooks so that each classroom can have a set with one for each student. Every day students come to class naturally curious about what we are studying in Science and sometimes their questions extend beyond the information that is published in their textbooks. Students enjoy having access to Chromebooks on a daily basis in order to research their questions as they arise with updated and current information.
Currently we only have about 10 Chromebooks in our classroom on a daily basis and most classes have 36 students so our goal is to have enough chromebooks so that each students may perform their own research.
