My students are a wonderful group of bright, hard-working and inquisitive kids. We all know that the majority of the careers of the future are going to require our students to know how to effectively use technology and I want to make sure that they have these skills for their future.
My students truly enjoy using technology and online resources for learning concepts, researching information, creating and completing alternative assessments, all of which require that the students know how to effectively use technology.
My Project
Currently, we have Chromebook carts at our school that we usually have in our room at least one day a week. Additionally, we have 4 Chromebooks that belong to our classroom that are available for our students to use on a daily basis; however, there are usually more than 4 students who would like to use these.
Our classroom could really use more Chromebooks on a daily basis.
Students often ask to use a Chromebook to do research on a topic and/or sometimes they finish their classwork early so having more Chromebooks for students to use on a daily basis would be very beneficial.
