Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom library is well stocked thanks to Donors Choose. As students explore and read they books that we have, they find their favorites. They read those books over and over. They often talk about them with each other and tell their friends to read them.
Eventually, they read all the titles in the series or all the books by the same author.
So when they hear about a new book that is related to the ones they love, they ask me for it. I purchase many on my own but I can't afford to keep up with all the new titles and topics that they want. So I am asking for help again with continuing to stock our classroom library. The titles I am choosing are all new to our library and more than 5 students are currently asking or reading related books. Please help me to keep their joy for reading going.
