My Project

After several years as a resource teacher, I will be a Papa 4 teacher for SY 2025-26. Help me give my students 25 copies each of "Lei and the Fire Goddess" and "Lei and the Invisible Island" by Malia Maunakea as resources to help build our classroom library. The students at Kaʻewai are resilient, resourceful and full of potential. They come from migrant families living in low-income housing and face challenges of generational trauma. Despite these obstacles, they are eager to learn and deserve access to high-quality educational resources. This library will be a sancuary for them, a place where they can escape, explore and grow through the magic of moʻolelo.
