My Project
Currently my students have outdated equipment that is no longer used in show performances. Receiving this generous donation will give my students the a unique opportunity to learn and experience the effectiveness of lighting design on live productions through the application of advanced lighting techniques. Students will be learn how to use their creativity in combination with modern lighting equipment to create dramatic schemes setting a road map to success through clear goals for mastery.
By providing these LED lights, you will enable our students to meet the goals of gaining real-world experience in advanced lighting design techniques through the use of lighting equipment commonly found in many live show productions.
I will train my students on how to use color and light intensity to convey mood, composition, form, and time of day (all principles of lighting design) during school hours and in our new afterschool tech club.
These students are special. Their dedication to the arts, despite limited resources, is inspiring. They will learn to proficiently program lighting scenes, understand the principle of color theory, safely rig fixtures, troubleshoot technical issues, and design impactful lighting.
