Monkey Business

My students need a crash pad to go underneath our climbing ropes so that they have proper padding in case of a fall.

My Students

Students come and go as this military community is a very transient community. We get kids from all over and have the unique opportunity of allowing them to experience activities that they may never have a chance to experience again.

Students get the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in unique cultural, sporting, and leisure activities, up north were we get plenty of snow for them to play in a good portion of the year.

Finding and making opportunities for our students to engage in all our state has to offer is a great honor considering the numerous amounts of families I can reach with unique opportunities.

My Project

The Landing pad will allow my students to work on muscular strength activities as they climb up and down our climbing ropes. We currently have 16 climbing ropes and I am working on getting thicker mats so that my students can safely climb and descend the ropes.

Climbing increases muscular strength and endurance and the landing mat will help take away the fear of falling some of my students may have.

This mat will give me one station were I will be able to allow students to climb higher with the insurance that if a fall happened they would hit a soft pad.
