Monitoring Math Skills and Best Practices

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and extremely ambitious. They absolutely love active, engaging math sessions and challenges that allow them to reach their maximum potential. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances, in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration! However, I now have to think about how I am going to teach students in a distance learning scenario.

Our district doesn't provide the technology I need, to put on the simulations that I need to help my students understand the mathematical concepts that I will use this year.

My Project

In my class, we do weekly presentations. Many students have asked if we could get the Lenovo monitor and extend a screen so they can use the extra screen to guide and enhance their presentation.

Additionally, we use the same laptop for monitoring students who leave the classroom and very often, students have to switch out screen views to get to document this.

By having a permanent extended screen on our new monitor, it will alleviate the frustrations of this.

In distant learning, one of my students has poor eyesight and he is working on a twelve inch screen.
