Money Stations and Puzzles!

Help me give my students money activity stations and counting money puzzles to help them learn and practice math!

My Students

My students enjoy coming to school each and every day. I want my students to be successful in their learning. I teach 25 second graders.

My students come from many different backgrounds.

However, when they come to school, all that doesn't matter anymore because our school is a safe learning environment.

We are a Title I school, and some students have free or reduced-price lunch. We are constantly treating others with respect and kindness. My students try their best every day and continue to practice a ​growth mindset in the classroom daily.

My Project

The money stations will be a great activity for centers so students can practice money concepts with a partner or independently. The math puzzles are also going to be used for math centers and to review money in small groups.

Jumbo money magnets will be used to model and practice counting money.

The money stamps are a great tool for students to independently practice money skills. The dominoes are another tool for modeling and practicing counting to 10 whole group or in small groups. Learning money is an important skill for second graders and these activities are going to be fun and engaging for all learners.
