Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in a Title I school and teach essential academics to my special education students. I need your help to promote learning vital skills like how money works to immerse them in personal financial decision-making opportunities.

It is my goal to immerse my students in financial literacy so that they can develop their ability to anticipate and address financial challenges as they transition to adulthood and over their lifetime after high school.

The board games, manipulatives and story books will serve to introduce common economic and personal planning concepts to help them gain the ability to lead well-rounded, productive and financially self-sufficient lives. I believe that exposing my students to purposeful information will be very useful for them and their families as they grow beyond their learning disabilities.
