This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a first year PreK teacher to a wonderful class of students with mixed abilities. My students come from all over the south side of Chicago. While they may be only 4 years old it is important for them to build a sense of financial literacy.

With this cash register, shopping cart, and food my students will be able to "buy" food, helping them learn how a checkout system works!

My students will have so much fun with this that they won't even realize they're learning a very important life skill!
