My students need puzzles and money games to learn money literacy.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Bond's classroom raised $310

My Students
I have 20 inquisitive 2nd grade students who love to learn. Some of our students come to school without the skill set needed to be successful learners. Children learn best when they can have hands on experience and can actually experience. Unfortunately, not every student has the ability to do this.
Our school works hard to meet the individual needs of each and every student.
While this can be a challenge, it is very rewarding when I see the "light bulb"go off over the students' heads!
My Project
Our math curriculum includes standards for money. This can be difficult for some of my students who have not handled money yet. Just think, they need to count by 25's, 10's, 5's, and 1's and then add them altogether!
Most children learn best when they are able to have a hands on experience.
These materials will give the students a chance to sort the coins by value which will help them add them up. The magnetic teaching tool will really help with the instruction of this unit. These self checking puzzles, like Counting Money Puzzles, and games, like the Count it Up money game, will help make learning fun!
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
