Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, motivated, and eager to learn real-world skills that will help them succeed both inside and outside the classroom. To support their growth, I'm creating a classroom economy with a student store where they can earn, save, and spend classroom "coins".

In our digital age, students rarely handle physical money, but understanding its value is still an essential life skill.

Through this project, students will earn coins by showing good behavior, demonstrating strong character, and helping others. They will then use those coins to make purchases--practicing goal setting, saving, and responsible spending along the way.

This hands-on learning experience will help them build a strong foundation in financial literacy, while also reinforcing positive behavior and kindness.
