This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What was the hardest subject you took in high school? Most of the people I talk to say Chemistry. It's also true for my students! This is mainly because Chemistry is a subject where you can't always see or visualize what the teacher is talking about.
A class set of molecular models and model water kits would make a huge difference in every unit I teach!
Right now we use gummy bears and toothpicks to model molecules-they get sticky, attract ants, and fall apart easily. Every time we discussed a new concept, the molecular model kits would help the students to visually see how the molecules are reacting. Because most of my students are visual and kinesthetic learners, molecular models would help keep their attention too!
These model kits will make a huge impact on my classroom on a daily basis. Thank you for helping to make Chemistry an easier subject for my students, and fun too! Thank you in advance for your consideration!
