Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In today’s classrooms, technology is not a luxury—it’s a necessity for effective and engaging instruction. An iPad equipped with an Apple Pencil offers a dynamic and interactive platform for modeling mathematical concepts. Instead of being limited to static whiteboards or textbooks, I can visually demonstrate problem-solving strategies in real time, annotate diagrams, and create step-by-step tutorials that students can revisit at their own pace. This flexibility supports a variety of learning styles, especially for students who benefit from visual and kinesthetic learning methods.
The Apple Pencil allows for precision and clarity when writing complex equations, graphing functions, or drawing geometric figures—tasks that are cumbersome or unclear with traditional tools.
Combined with apps like Notability, Desmos, and GeoGebra, I can create custom lessons and interactive activities tailored to my students’ needs. This also empowers students to engage directly with math content by solving problems digitally, receiving immediate feedback, and even creating their own math visuals and explanations, which deepens understanding and retention.
An Apple TV completes the setup by enabling wireless screen mirroring from the iPad to a classroom display. This allows me to move freely around the room while teaching, interact with students one-on-one, and showcase student work instantly. The seamless integration between these Apple tools transforms the classroom into a collaborative, modern learning environment where students are more engaged, confident, and supported in mastering core math skills.
