My students need a laptop, which will give them the ability to be mobile, as they work in their small group settings.

My Students
Since technology is one of the most modern ways to teach science. I feel that my students will do well with a mobile laptop. Because young adults admire technology and the new ideologies associated with technical usage. Technology is a necessary tool required for student mastery.
I teach in an inner city urban school district.
We receive Title I funding, and 95% of the students qualify for free or reduced meals. Our school population includes 80% African Americans, 10% Caucasian, and 10% of other nationalities. Our student focus is on career readiness after graduation. All students are given the opportunities to increase their knowledge base. As a special education teacher, I provide instructional support to students with disabilities. This includes Specific Learning Disabilities, as well as, the ones with unique Autistic abilities. Additional instruction increase the student's opportunity to be successful. There are 40 students who will receive individualized support in my resource classes.
My Project
This year our district has adopted the Common Core Standards. We are incorporating advanced technology as a learning tool to enhance their mindsets. Mastery of Common Core Standards is a tall order, however, we feel that we will have success with the help of modern technology. Our goal is to teach the Common Core Standards through technology, with mastery in each of the core subjects areas. In the classroom students will be able to complete various research studies. They will also be engaged in labs to enhance their science background with hands-on experiences. The laptop will play a very integral part in the student data and research studies.
The students will be able to use the mobile laptop to complete research studies and create new witty inventions.
The students also need new technology to work on advanced scientific labs. The students are working on outdated technology that runs at a slow speed. The students will not have to worry once they receive new technology. The goal is to continue to receive new technology, until every student is able to benefit from a new computer.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
